Caryn Harris, LCPC

 

Caryn Harris is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor in Maryland. Caryn received her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the George Washington University in 2010 and her bachelor’s degree in psychology and child development from Tufts University in 2005. Caryn currently works in private practice at Metropolitan Counseling Associates in Bethesda where she provides individual, group, and family therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults.  Prior to joining MCA, Caryn worked at the Jewish Social Service Agency providing therapy and case management.  Caryn also led social skill therapy groups for children and adolescents with ADHD and ASD as well as the Building and Fostering Friendships summer camp for children with ADHD at the McLean School in Potomac, Maryland. In addition, Caryn worked with adolescents and young adults on life skills and executive functioning, enhancing skills such as organization, time management, daily/weekly scheduling, etc. 

Catherine Kennedy, LCSW-C



Catherine (Solomon) Kennedy is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical and has her Pupil Personnel Services License in Virginia. Catherine received her Master’s of Social Work degree from Boston College in 2008 and her bachelor’s degree in psychology and human development from Connecticut College in 2004. Catherine currently works as a school social worker in the Fairfax County Public Schools where she provides individual and group counseling, family support, and crisis management to elementary and middle school students. In addition, Catherine works with students on organizational and executive functioning skills, such as organization, time management, study skills, homework management, etc. As a school social worker, Catherine is also involved in the special education screening and eligibility process. Before arriving at FCPS, Catherine worked as a school-based social worker in the Boston Public Schools and in an intensive therapeutic school for children and adolescents with severe mental health disorders.
